Netherlands / full-stack software developer
LarsNieuwenhuis
I build practical web systems: admin flows, product-backed interfaces, QR workflows, dashboards, and the small details that make software less annoying to use.
- Current site
- Rust-first, no frontend build step
- Comfort zone
- React, TypeScript, Laravel, Vue, GraphQL
- Learning edge
- Axum, SQLx, deployment-grade Rust
I like making tools feel obvious.
I like taking a workflow apart until the state, permissions, and next action feel obvious. The best projects are the ones where people stop thinking about the interface and can just get on with the work.
Most of my work so far sits around React, TypeScript, Laravel, Vue, and GraphQL. This portfolio is where I'm trying Rust in public: Axum for the server, Askama for templates, SQLx for the database, and PostgreSQL behind it.
Projects
My best projects.
No public case studies yet.
I'm keeping the first project write-ups as drafts until they are clear, specific, and actually useful to read.
Skills / Stack
A practical inventory.
Frontend
React, Vue, TypeScript, accessible HTML, CSS that earns its space, UI state that matches the database.
Backend
Laravel, Rust, Axum, async handlers, authentication, form workflows, and server-rendered screens.
Databases
PostgreSQL, SQLx, migrations, relational modeling, query-backed product behavior.
Tooling
Git, API debugging, GraphQL, review habits, regression tests, and small bits of automation.
Deployment
Railway, environment-driven services, production config, fast static delivery.
Learning / Exploring
Rust systems, AI-assisted workflows, performance-minded design, and cleaner feedback loops.
